Kate dropped six dress sizes before her wedding

And it turned having to postpone her wedding due to COVID into a big positive.

When COVID lockdowns meant Kate had to shelve her June 2020 wedding for a whole year, after a bit of time to reflect and reset she was determined to use the setback – and the time – for good. Setting herself a goal of ‘losing a bit of weight’ for her big day, 10 months later she was 30kg lighter, had to have her wedding dress taken in six sizes and says when she was finally able to walk down that aisle, she felt incredible. Here’s how WeightWatchers® helped her do it.

Kate’s ‘why’

“As a travel agent and a bride-to-be, 2020 was definitely not my year! I’d bought my dream size-28 wedding dress in the USA in 2019 and when our big day got postponed, my mum took me aside knowing that I was unhappy with my weight and that I’d lost my confidence. I joined WW after deciding it was time to do something for me and hoping to lose some weight for my wedding. Losing 30kg was more than I could have dreamed of.”

WW is holistic and not restrictive

“Other weight loss programs I’ve done in the past just left me feeling restricted and hungry and they were never something I could keep doing long term. On WW I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything, which is why I’ve stuck with it for over a year now. I also love WW’s holistic approach focusing not just on food, but everything from exercise to sleep, as well. About eight weeks after joining WW I actually felt in control for once and – even better – I was creating healthy habits.”
