This dressing needs to marinate overnight to allow the full flavor of the basil, lemon zest, garlic, and oregano to develop.

Ingredients

reduced-sodium chicken broth

½ cup(s)

basil

2 Tbsp, fresh chooped, or 1 teaspoon dried

white wine vinegar

2 Tbsp

olive oil

1 Tbsp, extra-virgin

olive oil

1 tsp, extra-virgin

lemon zest

1 tsp, grated

table salt

1 tsp

garlic clove(s)

1 medium clove(s), minced

dried oregano

½ tsp, crumbled

black pepper

¼ tsp, freshly ground

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Cover and shake well. Refrigerate overnight. Shake again before serving. Yields 1 1/2 tablespoons per serving.
