They are considered a 'complete protein’, meaning they contain all the essential amino acids your body needs. Including protein in your meals can help you to feel fuller for longer. Eggs also contain more the 11 essential vitamins and minerals and healthy omega-3 fats.

Due to increasing demand, supermarkets now have entire aisles dedicated to gluten-free foods, including delicious breakfast solutions. Head to your local supermarket and search for gluten-free cereals, bread and muesli options made with nutritious (and gluten-free) grains such as buckwheat, amaranth, quinoa and sorghum.

Following a gluten-free diet due to medical conditions such as coeliac disease, wheat allergies or gluten intolerance often means missing out on some breads and cereals. By using healthy carbohydrate and protein alternatives you can set yourself up for success at the start of the day - just make sure to read the food labels on any packaged ingredients.
