Veal in Red Wine Sauce

If you can't find red currant jelly in your grocery store, browse through a gourmet food market or search for it online.
olive oil1 tsp
uncooked lean veal sirloin1 pound(s), (four 4-oz veal chops)
uncooked onion(s)1 small, finely chopped
table wine½ cup(s), red
jelly2 Tbsp, currant
unpacked brown sugar½ Tbsp
- Heat oil in a nonstick pan and add veal. Cook until browned.
- In a small pan, heat onion, wine, jelly and sugar. Bring to a boil, lower heat and cook for 3 minutes.
- Combine cornstarch and water and add it to pan. Stir until sauce thickens. Serve over veal.
