Decadent veal goes perfectly well with this savory red wine sauce. As well as the wine, the sauce is made with finely chopped onion, currant jelly, brown sugar, and cornstarch to help it thicken. If you can't find red currant jelly in your grocery store, browse through a gourmet food market or search for it online. After browning the veal, the sauce comes together in just minutes, so you can have this stunning entrée ready to go on the table in less than half an hour. Serve a mixed green salad, wild rice, or even egg noodles alongside to complete the meal. The red wine sauce also nicely complements pork or chicken.
