Cheesy pepperoni pizza—a forbidden food? Definitely not with our crispy, cheesy, and delicious version. This recipe features just 4 ingredients with the added convenience of using store-bought, frozen pizza dough. We keep it as simple and straightforward as it gets with canned tomato sauce, part-skim mozzarella cheese, and sliced pepperoni. Leaving some of the sauce exposed as you're sealing the pouches gives you the perfect spot to place the pepperoni. It's definitely a creative way to serve up a slice of pizza. Then all that's left to do is bake the pouches in the oven until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is nice and melty; it's all ready in 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Frozen pizza crust dough

10 oz, at room temperature

Canned tomato sauce

4 Tbsp

Part skim mozzarella cheese

¼ cup(s), shredded, shredded

Pepperoni

1 oz, in 8 slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F; spray a nonstick baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. On a lightly floured work surface, unroll the dough. With your hands, press it into a square; cut into 4 squares. Place dough on the baking sheet. Spread dough with the tomato sauce and sprinkle with the cheese. With the dough on the diagonal, fold in the corners as bi-fold rolls, pressing the corners gently to seal; leave some of the pasta sauce exposed. Place a pepperoni slice on the exposed pasta sauce. Bake until the cheese melts and the crust is golden brown, 10-15 minutes.
