Grilled prosciutto-wrapped asparagus

Two ingredients and eleven minutes are all that you need to make this tasty side dish. The prosciutto adds just enough tempting saltiness to flavor up the tender asparagus to a tee. If you like, grind some fresh black pepper over the stalks before wrapping them. Be sure to let your grill preheat before you cook so as to properly char the wrapped asparagus. If you use thicker stalks then they may need a little more grilling time. After you grill your asparagus, throw some chicken or steak onto the grill for a delicious dinner. Or serve the asparagus as an appetizer.

5 oz, 10 very thin slices, halved lengthwise
- Spray the grill rack with nonstick spray. Preheat the grill to medium-high or prepare a medium-high fire.
- Tightly wrap a piece of prosciutto around each asparagus spear and lightly spray with olive oil nonstick spray. Place the wrapped spears on the grill rack and grill, turning, until the asparagus is tender and the prosciutto is crispy, about 10 minutes. Pile on a platter and serve hot, warm, or at room temperature. Yields 5 wrapped asparagus spears per serving.
