Greek-style turkey burgers with lemon-mint aïoli
Uncooked extra lean ground turkey breast
Whole wheat breadcrumbs

Reduced-fat feta cheese
¼ cup(s), crumbled
8 medium, pitted kalamata variety, thinly sliced
2 medium clove(s), minced
Fat free mayonnaise
2 Tbsp, fresh, chopped
Fresh lemon juice
- Combine the turkey, bread crumbs, feta cheese, olives, oregano, and all but 1⁄4 teaspoon of the garlic in a large bowl. Shape into four 1⁄2 -inch-thick patties. Place on a plate; set aside in the refrigerator.
- To make the aïoli, combine the mayonnaise, mint, lemon zest and juice, and the remaining 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic in a small bowl; set aside.
- Spray the grill rack with nonstick spray; preheat the grill to medium or prepare a medium fire.
- Lightly spray the patties with nonstick spray and place on the grill rack. Grill, covered, until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the side of a burger registers 165°F, 6 – 8 minutes on each side. Serve each burger topped with a slice of tomato and 1 tablespoon aïoli. Yields 1 garnished burger per serving.
