Greek-style turkey burgers with lemon-mint aïoli

The all time favorite turkey burger with a new twist. This favorite gets a Greek flavor from feta cheese, olives, oregano, mint, lemon and fresh tomatoes. Because turkey burgers can be dry, we moistened them by mixing bread crumbs, feta cheese, olives oregano, and garlic into the turkey meat. The burgers take just 8 minutes to prep and 12 minutes to cook. And, you can prepare the burger patties ahead of time. Serve this tasty burger with a quinoa salad.
Ingredients
Uncooked extra lean ground turkey breast

Whole wheat breadcrumbs
1 cup(s)
Reduced fat feta cheese

Olives
8 olive(s), medium
Dried oregano
1 tsp
Garlic

Fat free mayonnaise
3 Tbsp
Peppermint leaves
2 Tbsp
Lemon zest
1 tsp
Fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp
Tomato

Instructions

Combine the turkey, bread crumbs, feta cheese, olives, oregano, and all but 1⁄4 teaspoon of the garlic in a large bowl. Shape into four 1⁄2 -inch-thick patties. Place on a plate; set aside in the refrigerator.

To make the aïoli, combine the mayonnaise, mint, lemon zest and juice, and the remaining 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic in a small bowl; set aside.

Spray the grill rack with nonstick spray; preheat the grill to medium or prepare a medium fire.

Lightly spray the patties with nonstick spray and place on the grill rack. Grill, covered, until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the side of a burger registers 165°F, 6 – 8 minutes on each side. Serve each burger topped with a slice of tomato and 1 tablespoon aïoli. Yields 1 garnished burger per serving.
