Gooey and delicious, these bars bake up quickly with very little fuss. A buttery chocolate wafer crust is topped with a creamy chocolate and nut middle and topped with marshmallows. The chocolate wafers crumble into a crust quickly in a food processor. If you don't have a food processor on-hand, you can crush them in a zip-top freezer bag with a rolling pin. This Feel free to swap in almonds or pecans for the walnuts to suit your taste. Spray your knife with cooking spray before chopping the marshmallows to help keep them from sticking to the blade.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

2 spray(s)

Chocolate wafer

4 oz

Unsalted butter

3 Tbsp, melted

Table salt

¾ tsp, (or less to taste)

Mini chocolate chips

½ cup(s)

Walnuts

¼ cup(s), coarsely chopped

Fat free sweetened condensed milk

½ cup(s)

Mini marshmallows

½ cup(s), coarsely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper (or coat with cooking spray - though the bars will be a little trickier to remove from the pan).
  2. Using a food processor, process wafers into fine crumbs (or place wafers in a large, sealed zip-close bag and crush with a rolling pin). Add butter and salt to crumbs and pour into prepared pan; press down to form an even layer of crust.
  3. In a small bowl, combine chocolate chips and walnuts; sprinkle evenly over crust. Drizzle milk over top; sprinkle with marshmallow pieces. Bake until chocolate melts and marshmallows begin to brown, about 15 minutes. Cool completely in refrigerator before slicing into 16 pieces. Yields 1 piece per serving.
