Hot sauce is what puts this green bean side dish in the Buffalo category, but there is a lot more going on that lends flavorful complexity—Worcestershire sauce, orange juice, garlic, and basil. This inspired vegetable side dish is a terrific make-ahead side recipe. For maximum flavor, allow the chilled green beans to come up to room temperature before serving. Try this recipe with sugar snap peas or snow peas too.


Ingredients
Olive oil
4 tsp
Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp
Unsweetened orange juice
1 Tbsp, or lemon juice
Hot pepper sauce
2 tsp
Tomato
2 medium, plum, diced
Garlic
2 clove(s), minced
Uncooked green snap beans
¾ pound(s), trimmed and cooked until crisp-tender
Fresh basil
1 Tbsp, chooped
Black pepper
⅛ tsp, or to taste
Table salt
⅛ tsp, or to taste
Instructions

Whisk together oil, Worcestershire sauce, orange or lemon juice, and hot pepper sauce in a large bowl.

Add remaining ingredients and stir to coat. Chill for at least 1 hour or up to overnight. Divide into 4 portions and serve.
