These zesty veggies are a great make-ahead side dish. For maximum flavor, allow them to warm to room temperature before serving.

Ingredients

olive oil

4 tsp

Worcestershire sauce

1 Tbsp

unsweetened orange juice

1 Tbsp, or lemon juice

hot pepper sauce

2 tsp

fresh tomato(es)

2 medium, plum, diced

garlic clove(s)

2 medium clove(s), minced

uncooked green snap beans

¾ pound(s), trimmed and cooked until crisp-tender

basil

1 Tbsp, chooped

black pepper

tsp, or to taste

table salt

tsp, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Whisk together oil, Worcestershire sauce, orange or lemon juice, and hot pepper sauce in a large bowl.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and stir to coat. Chill for at least 1 hour or up to overnight. Divide into 4 portions and serve.
