Try this smoothie featured on our UK site. When time is tight, smoothies are a simple way to get a much-needed nutrient boost. The tang of yogurt and freshness of mint really highlights the sweetness of the fresh fruit in this healthy shake. You can also freeze this blend in popsicle molds for a sweet post-exercise frozen treat or refreshing snack to beat the summer heat. Blended to sip or frozen to lick, kids are guaranteed to love this too!

Ingredients

Blackberries

¾ cup(s)

Unsweetened applesauce

¼ cup(s)

Plain fat free yogurt

¼ cup(s)

Fat free skim milk

1 cup(s)

Peppermint leaves

1 piece(s), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Reserve three blackberries and put remainder into a blender or food processor. Add applesauce, yogurt and milk. Blend or process for 15 to 20 seconds until smooth.
  2. Pour into a glass and decorate with reserved blackberries and mint.
