Kombucha (fizzy fermented tea) works well in lighter mocktails (and cocktails!) because of its lower sugar content. It comes in lots of flavors, too, which allows you to play around with different combos. Other tasty fresh herb and fruit pairings include pineapple-mint and citrus-rosemary.
16 fl oz, or seltzer
24 fl oz, apple-variety
Granny Smith apple(s)
1 large, with peel, thinly sliced
½ cup(s), whole leaves
- Stir together all ingredients in a pitcher. Chill for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Serve over ice.
- Serving size: about 6 2/3 fl oz liquid plus some apple, basil, and ice
