Amaretti, pear, and cranberry crumble
4 medium, ripe, (1 1⁄2 pounds), halved, cored, and cut into 1-inch chunks
Fresh lemon juice
8 item(s), coarsely crushed (1⁄2 cup)
1 Tbsp, melted
- Preheat the oven to 450°F. Spray a 1 1⁄2-quart baking dish with nonstick spray.
- To make the filling, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Add the pears, cranberries, and lemon juice; toss to mix well. Spoon into the baking dish. Sprinkle with the amaretti and drizzle with the melted butter. Bake until the pears are tender and the mixture is bubbly, about 35 minutes. Let cool on a rack about 20 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature. Yields 1⁄4 of crumble per serving.
