Turkey Pepperoni Pizza

Turkey pepperoni is a wonderful substitute for regular pepperoni. Chop some up and add to scrambled eggs.
canned tomatoes¼ cup(s), whole, peeled, with basil
minced garlic⅛ tsp
dried oregano¼ tsp
crushed red pepper flakes1 pinch, or to taste
table salt1 pinch, or to taste
black pepper1 pinch, or to taste
frozen pizza crust dough2 ½ oz, or fresh, thawed and rolled into an oval
turkey pepperoni¾ oz
shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese5 ½ Tbsp
basil2 Tbsp, thinly sliced
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a blender, combine tomatoes, garlic, oregano and red pepper flakes until well blended and saucy; season with salt and pepper.
- Place pizza crust on a cookie sheet. Bake 2 minutes; remove from oven.
- Spread tomato sauce over baked crust. Sprinkle with cheese; top with pepperoni. Bake until cheese is melted, 5 minutes; sprinkle with fresh basil and serve immediately.
- Serving size: 1 pizza
