Homemade dessert doesn’t get any easier. Simply toss the peaches and brown sugar together, then make the crumble by sifting flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt together, and mixing in the egg white with your fingertips. Put the peaches in a pan, dollop with the crumble, and drizzle with melted butter. Bake and serve! You'll love how quickly it all comes together. You can even make it fancy by dividing the batter and topping among small glass ramekins. This delicious recipe works well with plums and nectarines, too.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

2 spray(s)

Peach

3 large, pitted and sliced

Packed light brown sugar

3 Tbsp

Whole wheat flour

6 Tbsp

Sugar

6 Tbsp, granulated

Ground cinnamon

¼ tsp

Table salt

¼ tsp

Egg whites

1 large

Salted butter

4 Tbsp, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat a 9-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, gently toss peaches with brown sugar until sugar starts to dissolve; spoon fruit into prepared baking pan.
  3. In another small bowl, sift together flour, granulated sugar, cinnamon and salt; add egg white and combine with your fingers until mixture comes together and starts to crumble. Drop clumps of flour mixture over fruit; drizzle with melted butter.
  4. Bake until fruit just starts to bubble, about 45 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and serve warm. Yields about 2/3 cup per serving.
