Combine the fresh ingredients of basil, lemon juice and herbs to create the ultimate refreshing mocktail. This mocktail isn't reserved for just summertime. It's also perfect for the holidays or any time of the year. Muddle don't mash! With a muddler, which resembles a wooden pestle or with a wooden spoon, lightly crush the basil leaves, giving the muddler a few gentle twists as you go. When the basil aroma wafts into the air you're done. Consider adding non-alcoholic gin, as this recipe was inspired by a gin and basil drink. Gin pairs beautifully with fresh herbs so you could also use another herb in this recipe such as fresh mint and rosemary. Non-alocholic gin would work great as well!
