Use grated Parmesan cheese in place of the pecorino and substitute any fresh herbs that you like—rosemary would be tasty. Since popcorn contains the hull, endosperm, and germ, it is a whole grain, making it a healthy, high-fiber snack option. Fun fact: The oldest popped kernels of corn were discovered in a cave in New Mexico in 1948. The popped corn was carbon dated and shown to be about 5,600 years old.
