Grilled Chicken Sausage with Pineapple Salsa

Precooked chicken sausages come in many different flavors. Stash a package in your freezer - then thaw, bake and slice to use in pasta dishes, casseroles and omelets.
cooked chicken sausage(s)3 oz, cilantro-lime flavor recommended
pineapple¼ cup(s), fresh, minced
cilantro1 Tbsp, chopped
uncooked red onion(s)2 tsp, chopped
jalapeño pepper(s)1 tsp, finely chopped
fresh lime(s)¼ item(s), (1 wedge)
light wheat hot dog roll(s)1 item(s), grilled if desired
- Heat grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Grill sausage, turning occasionally, until lightly browned and heated through, 5 minutes.
- Combine pineapple, cilantro, onion and jalapeno in a small bowl; squeeze in lime juice and toss.
- Place salsa in bun; top with sausage.
- Serving size: 1 sausage sandwich
