This twist on baklava turns what could be a big project into a simple— and delicious—sweet. Traditional baklava takes quite a bit of time, requires lots of tricky layering of phyllo, and a lot of butter. This recipe cuts time and fat by using store-bought mini phyllo shells instead. Start with making a simple filling of nuts and chocolate flavored with orange zest, and cinnamon, then use a spoon to scoop the filling up and fill the shells. A quick bake in the oven to warm things up, and snacks - or dessert - is ready.

Ingredients
Mini phyllo shells
15 item(s), one (1.9-oz) package
Shelled pistachio nuts (unsalted, dry roasted or raw, no sugar added)
¼ cup(s), chopped
Chopped walnuts (unsalted, raw or dry roasted, no sugar added)
¼ cup(s)
Honey
¼ cup(s)
Mini chocolate chips
2 Tbsp
Unsalted butter
1 Tbsp, melted
Orange zest
½ tsp
Ground cinnamon
¼ tsp
Table salt
1 pinch(es)
Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange phyllo cups on baking sheet. In medium bowl, stir nuts, honey, chocolate chips, butter, orange zest, cinnamon, and salt. Divide filling among phyllo cups (about 2 tsp per cup). Bake until nuts are fragrant and lightly toasted, about 10 minutes. Serve warm.
