This showy, French-inspired dessert will wow dinner guests. The best part is that it doesn't require any special equipment: The sugary glaze cooks on the stovetop. To keep the sugar mixture from sticking to the tablespoon when drizzling it over each custard, spray the spoon with cooking spray first and then measure the sugar mixture. Make sure the custards have chilled at least for a full 3 hours before adding their sugar glaze or otherwise their texture will have a soup-like consistency. If you’d like, you can bake the custards up to 3 days ahead. They’ll hold up well in the refrigerator. Wait and add the glaze when you’re ready to serve them.
