Strawberries with balsamic vinegar and freshly ground black pepper may sound a bit unusual, but the sweet-tart combination is absolutely delicious. The balsamic marinade also tints the strawberries a deep red. The prep is super quick, but keep in mind that the strawberries have to marinate in the fridge for at least a hour if you want to plan ahead. You'll love how you only need six ingredients to put this fun dish together, as well as the pretty presentation, perfect for a light summertime dessert. Feel free to experiment with different types of berries if you're not the biggest fan of strawberries.

Unpacked brown sugar
⅛ tsp, freshly ground
Fat free vanilla yogurt
1 Tbsp, optional
- Combine strawberries, sugar, vinegar and pepper in a bowl. Marinate in refrigerator for at least 1 hour, stirring at least once.
- Serve in 4 small glasses or bowls and top each with 2 tablespoons vanilla yogurt. Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired.
