In a small bowl combine beef, egg , breadcrumbs, basil and salt (or other seasonings); bake on a parchment lined baking sheet at 350°F until cooked through, shaking pan every 5 minutes for even browning, about 10 to 15 minutes. Combine meatballs with sauce; heat through and serve over spaghetti sprinkled with cheese.
