Party guests will get a thrill out of our spooky variation on black bean dip.

Ingredients

Biona Organic Black Beans in Water

1 can(s), drained, drained and rinsed

Spring Onions

1 medium, roughly chopped

Garlic

1 clove(s), crushed

Ground Cumin

½ teaspoon(s), level

Reduced fat soured cream

2 tablespoon(s), level

Lemon Juice, Fresh

15 ml

Instructions

  1. Put the black beans in the bowl of a food processor with the spring onion, garlic, cumin and half the soured cream. Season well then blitz until smooth.
  2. Add the lemon juice and water and blitz until combined. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  3. Spoon the remaining soured cream into a piping bag (or put in a sandwich bag then snip off one corner) and pipe onto the surface of the dip in a spiral, working from the centre outwards.
  4. Drag
a cocktail stick through the spiral to create a spiderweb pattern. Serve with vegetable crudités for dipping.

Notes

If you don't have a piping bag, use a sandwich bag instead. Just snip off a corner and pipe.
