If you enjoy a yogurt bowl for breakfast, you should try a cottage cheese bowl too. Like yogurt, creamy, protein-rich cottage cheese takes well to both sweet and savoury toppings. Here, a simple combo of eggs, avocado and veggies makes for a colourful and filling meal.

Ingredients

Fat free natural cottage cheese

220 g

Cucumber

1 portion(s), medium, sliced

Cherry Tomatoes

1 handful serving, halved

Avocado

½ medium, sliced

Hard boiled egg

1 large, halved

Spring Onions

1 handful serving, sliced

Sesame Seeds

1 tablespoon(s), toasted

Instructions

  1. Spoon the cottage cheese into a shallow bowl. Arrange the cucumber, tomatoes, avocado and egg on top. Sprinkle with the spring onion, sesame seeds and a pinch each of salt and pepper, if using.
