- Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly spray a 20cm square cake tin with oil and line the base and sides with baking paper.
- Sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder into a bowl. Whisk the spread, sugar, eggs, apple sauce and vanilla in a bowl until combined. Stir into the flour mixture until just combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes of until moist crumbs cling to a skewer inserted into the centre of the brownie. Stand for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool. Cut into 16 squares. Dust with the extra cocoa.
