These delicious overnight oats are topped with juicy cherries and crunchy almonds.


Porridge oats

140 g


1 medium, cored and grated

Chia Seeds, dry

15 g

Unsweetened Almond Drink

550 ml

Agave Syrup

1 tablespoons, level

French Almond Extract

1 teaspoons

Cherries, fresh

250 g, frozen and thawed


½ zest(s) of 1

Flaked Almonds

  1. Put the oats, apple and chia seeds in a large bowl and stir to combine. Add the almond milk, 1 tablespoon of the agave syrup and the almond extract and stir until combined. Cover and put in the fridge to chill overnight.
  2. Before you’re ready to serve, make the compote. Put the cherries, orange zest and remaining agave syrup in a medium pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for a few minutes until the cherries are softened and just heated through. Drain off and discard 1 tablespoon of the liquid, then roughly crush the cherries with a fork, keeping some of them whole.
  3. Divide the oat mixture between bowls, then serve topped with the cherry compote and the flaked almonds.
