Easy ways to use these new zero Points foods.
Published December 6, 2017

With skinless chicken breast and eggs now ZeroPointTM foods on myWW Blue and Purple plans, making delicious and satisfying meals has never been easier. Here we have rounded up three tips to make the most of these foods.

Batch prep

Have a busy week? Want to be able to grab-and-go? Then batch prepping is for you. It takes the same amount of time to hard boil one egg as it does a dozen, so why not do a larger quantity and keep them in the fridge for snacks or easy salad toppers for the week. The same goes for chicken breasts; cook up to four at a time, cool and store in the refrigerator for a few days’ worth of chicken.

Add flavour without fat

Consider marinating your chicken breast in SmartPoints-free marinade bases like dried herbs, freshly squeezed lemon or orange juice, soy sauce, salsa, or hot sauce. To go even further, why not try wet or dry brining your chicken breasts. Learn all about the brining technique here.

Track your cooking methods

Yes, skinless chicken breast and eggs are zero Points foods, but if you use oils or butter to cook them in, the cooking fat will need to be tracked. But good news, there are easy ways to cook these foods without adding any unwanted SmartPoints. Try roasting or grilling chicken breast using a fat-free marinade, and poaching and hard boiling eggs is a great way to add them into your meal plan without adding any fat.
