These addictive salty, savory almonds are super-fast to make and the perfect finger food. Try them as a simple snack or as a delicious addition to a Spanish-inspired tapas menu. Make a double or triple batch to have a nosh ready whenever you’re craving something crunchy and spiced. Dividing them into individual portions helps you stick to just one serving at a time.

Ingredients

Olive oil

1 tsp

Blanched almonds

¾ cup(s), whole

Kosher salt

½ tsp

Paprika

¼ tsp

Cayenne pepper

1 pinch(es)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in medium heavy nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add almonds and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, shaking skillet occasionally, until almonds just begin to brown, about 5 minutes. Transfer almonds to serving dish. Sprinkle with salt, paprika, and cayenne; toss until coated evenly.
  2. Serving size: About 17 almonds

Notes

Seek out almonds in a store where there is good turnover to ensure they are as fresh as possible. Purchasing them in bulk is often less expensive.
