This dessert is great at playing disguise: While it looks and tastes like a gourmet treat, it's actually one of the easiest to make—and uses only two ingredients! To make this recipe for sweet-heat chocolate disks, all you really do is melt chocolate, sprinkle it with the spicy topping of your choosing, and then refrigerate them. The result is a rich, chocolatey disk that provides a burst of excitement when you encounter the twist on top. It's great for when you're hosting a party, too. Although our recipe makes enough for 8, you can double or triple it to make enough for a crowd. Don't forget to have fun with the toppings. Another tasty choice is 1/4 cup dried mango that's diced and tossed with paprika, or mix and match ingredients for surprising flavor combinations.

Ingredients

Semisweet chocolate chips

4 Tbsp, and/or jalapeno, fresh mint, red pepper flakes, pink peppercorns
