Spiced Broiled Pears

This scrumptious dessert tastes great served warm or as a topping over low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt.
pear(s)2 medium, ripe, peeled and halved
reduced-calorie margarine2 tsp
unpacked brown sugar4 tsp
ground cinnamon1 tsp
ground nutmeg½ tsp
- Preheat broiler. Place pear halves in a baking dish coated with cooking spray, sliced side up.
- Place 1/2 teaspoon margarine in center of each pear half, then sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Place 5 inches from heat source and broil until margarine is melted, about 5 minutes.
