Ingredients

uncooked turkey bacon

2 slice(s)

maple syrup

½ tsp

Granny Smith apple

¼ medium, unpeeled, thinly sliced

low fat cheddar or colby cheese

1 oz

Instructions

  1. Line a microwavable plate with a paper towel; place bacon on top and lightly brush with maple syrup. Heat in microwave on high power until bacon is thoroughly cooked, about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from microwave; cut each piece of bacon in half.
  2. On another plate, layer a piece of apple, a piece of cheese and a piece of bacon; repeat with remaining ingredients, ending with an apple slice. Yields 1 stack per serving.
