Snack mixes come in so many varieties and flavors but many are loaded with added sugar making them no better for you than chips or candy. This snack mix—AKA Tess Mix—uses high-fiber, air-popped popcorn as its base to fill you up with a nice dose of whole grains. Though Tess recommends ranch seasoning, experiment with different seasoning mixes to make it your own. You can also swap in different nuts, cereal, and crackers.
Plain air popped popcorn (prepared without oil)
General Mills Golden grahams cereal
Unsalted dry roasted peanuts
- Preheat oven to 250℉. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine popcorn, cereal, crackers, and peanuts. Coat with cooking spray and sprinkle seasoning over top. Toss to combine and spread on prepared pan in an even layer. Coat again with cooking spray. Bake until fragrant and toasty, stirring once halfway through, about 15 to 20 minutes.
