Dip your green bean “fries” into this creamy avocado deliciousness! They make a fun, fabulous snack or a super side to a burger. Streamline prep work and buy a package of washed, trimmed string beans.


Cooking spray

Uncooked string beans

1 pound(s)

Table salt

tsp, or to taste, divided

Black pepper

tsp, or to taste, divided


1 medium, ripe

Fresh lemon juice

3 Tbsp, or to taste

Plain fat free Greek yogurt

1 Tbsp

Hot sauce

3 drop(s), or to taste


  1. In the basket of your air fryer, lightly coat the green beans with cooking spray; season to taste with salt and pepper. Air fry at 400°F until slightly charred, tossing once or twice, about 6 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, place the avocado, lemon juice, yogurt, hot sauce, and remaining salt and pepper in a food processor; process until smooth. Taste and adjust the seasonings; spoon into a small bowl. Serve the string beans with the avocado sauce.
  3. Makes 1 serving.
