Curry powders and pastes come in so many varieties, colors, and heat levels, it's impossible to think of them in terms of one flavor combination. The ingredients vary largely from one to another largely based on where the blend originates from. In Thai curries, you will find galangal and lemongrass, whereas you will find neither of those ingredients in garam masala - but you will fine warm spices like cardamom. What distinguishes this Jamaican curry powder, like most Caribbean and West Indian curries, is heavy in turmeric, which brings a deep golden hue to any dishes flavored with it.
