Grilled Sesame Asparagus

This Asian-spiced sesame sauce is delicious drizzled over grilled asparagus. It’s also super for stir-fries.
low sodium soy sauce2 Tbsp
rice wine vinegar1 tsp
sesame oil1 tsp
minced garlic1 tsp
ginger root½ tsp, fresh, minced
cooking spray2 spray(s)
uncooked asparagus1 pound(s), ends trimmed
uncooked scallion(s)1 medium, thinly sliced
sesame seeds1 tsp
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, oil, honey, garlic and ginger; set aside.
- Off heat, coat grill rack with cooking spray; heat to high (or cook on a stovetop grill). Grill asparagus, turning frequently to char all sides, about 7-10 minutes.
- Place asparagus in a shallow serving dish and pour sauce over top; toss to coat and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
- Serving size: 1/6 of asparagus
