Turn ordinary waffles into delicious dessert cones for a fun change of pace. Come on, who doesn't love a sweet, savory waffle cone? The ricotta filling, made with sugar, vanilla extract, bananas, and mini chocolate chips, can be prepared in advance, refrigerated for a day, and then stuffed into the cones right before serving. It's one of the most creative ways you can make a sweet, chocolate-y dessert that everyone of all ages will appreciate. The cones will stay together when they're held in your hand, or you can place them in dessert cups if you want a little bit more security.

  1. Stir together ricotta, sugar, vanilla, bananas and chocolate chips in a medium bowl; set aside.
  2. Toast waffles. Immediately spoon 3/4 cup of cheese mixture over each waffle. Roll into a cone shape and serve immediately. Yields 1 filled waffle per serving.
