Keep some on hand in the fridge for whenever you may need it. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled. If you want to make mini pies as a fun and quick, impressive dessert (and as one of our favorite ways to utilize this filling), simply spoon the filling into ramekins and decorate with uncooked pie crust strips; bake in the oven until heated through and the crust is browned and cooked.
