Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, and white pepper. Add the eggs, breadcrumbs, and 1/2 cup cornstarch. Toss until chicken is well coated.
  2. Add the chicken to air fryer basket and cook 7 minutes at 350°F. Increase heat to 400°F and cook another 2 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, grate all the zest from the orange and squeeze all the juice. Set aside.
  4. In a 12-inch skillet, combine the brown sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. Heat to a simmer on medium. Simmer 2 minutes. Create a slurry by dissolving the remaining 1 tsp cornstarch in 2 tsp water in a small bowl.
  5. Drizzle slurry into sauce in skillet. Simmer 1 minute, or until desired consistency. Remove from heat. Stir in the orange zest, juice, and garlic.
  6. Add the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat. Garnish with the scallions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve over cauliflower rice or with vegetables.
