Here's a unique way to serve pasta! The boiled noodles crisp up like chips in the air fryer and are super tasty as is but also delicious dunked into warmed tomato sauce or a light creamy pesto sauce. Have fun customizing the recipe by trying different pasta shapes such as bowties or rotini, or by swapping in your favorite dried seasoning blend for the Italian seasoning.
Ingredients
Uncooked chickpea penne
2 cup(s)
Olive oil
1 Tbsp
Grated Parmesan cheese
6 Tbsp
Italian seasoning
1½ tsp
Kosher salt
¼ tsp, or to taste
Cooking spray
2 spray(s)
Instructions
1
Boil the pasta until al dente (about 1 minute less than the package directions suggest); drain.
2
Place the pasta in a mixing bowl; add the oil and toss to coat. Add the cheese, Italian seasoning, and salt; toss to coat.
3
Coat the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat the air fryer, if necessary, to 400°F. Place the pasta in a single layer in the air fryer basket (in batches if necessary). Air-fry at 400°F until lightly browned and crisp, shaking the basket halfway through, about 8 minutes.
