Banana

4 large, ripe, peeled

Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cut the bananas into 1-inch chunks and place in a large zip-close plastic freezer bag. Seal and freeze until frozen solid, 3 to 5 hours.
  2. Place the frozen bananas and vanilla in a food processor, breaking up any chunks that are stuck together. Puree until smooth, stopping and scraping down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula as needed.
  3. Serve immediately or, for a scoopable texture, transfer to a shallow dish and freeze until ready to serve, at least 1 hour.
  4. Serving size: about 1/2 cup
