Quick and easy omelette recipes

Learn how to make a simple fluffy omelette! Add extra ingredients to make it a fancy and filling main meal.

Originally a French dish, omelettes can make an easy, protein-rich and healthy meal. Not just breakfast, they're also perfect for a hearty lunch or dinner. Just add a side salad or some bread.

Once you have a basic omelette down pat, experiment with different ingredients and flavours by adding seasonal vegetables, meats, or a variety of cheeses (think fetta, haloumi or cheddar).


Omelette fillings:

  • Cheese
  • Ham
  • Smoked salmon
  • Spinach
  • Red capsicum
  • Mushrooms
  • Asparagus
  • Fresh basil
  • Sweet corn
  • Spanish onion

Tip: Use up leftover roasted vegetables or cut up pizza topping ingredients in an omelette. Spinach, mushrooms, olives, ham, artichokes, capsicums and broccoli all work well in omelettes.
