Dairy-free & lactose-free dinners

Creating delicious dairy and lactose-free recipes can be super easy. People often need to eat dairy or lactose-free if they are lactose intolerance or have dairy allergies. Cooking at home from scratch with fresh wholesome ingredients means you know exactly what you are putting into your dishes and replacing or removing dairy products is fairly easy.

Adapting recipes to be dairy-free

You can make a lot of our recipe dairy or lactose-free simply by swapping dairy products (such as milk) for lactose-free or non-dairy alternatives (such as soy milk) or omitting toppings such as sour cream, cheese and yoghurt. For example, our recipe for Shepherd's pie uses skim milk in the mash potato topping but to make this recipe dairy-free you can simply omit the milk altogether or substitute will a non-dairy milk alternative like soy milk. Packed with veg and a tasty potato and celeriac mash this Sheperd's pie is not one to miss out on if you need to follow a dairy or lactose-free diet.
