No worries if you don’t have an ice cream maker. You can easily whip together a smooth sorbet in a blender or food processor. Here, rich sweet cherries and berries create a ruby-hued treat that’s topped with a drizzle of salt-topped chocolate that hardens to a shell. Multiply the ingredients to make more servings, if desired.

Ingredients

Frozen unsweetened dark sweet cherries

2 cup(s)

Frozen unsweetened mixed berries

1 cup(s)

Plain unsweetened almond milk

½ cup(s), divided

Lily's Dark chocolate baking chips

60 chip(s)

Flaky salt

¼ tsp

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, process cherries and berries until finely chopped. Add 1/4 cup of almond milk and process until the mixture starts to become smooth, stopping frequently to scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the remaining almond milk, 1 tbsp at a time, until the mixture is smooth; this might take a few minutes.
  2. Spoon the fruit mixture into a freezer-safe container; freeze until firm enough to scoop, 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Place the chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 70% power until melted, 40 to 60 seconds, stopping to stir every 20 seconds. Scoop the sorbet into a bowl. Drizzle the chocolate over the sorbet and sprinkle with the salt. Place in the freezer just until chocolate hardens, 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Serving size: about 1 ¼ cups
