Weight struggles

I’d struggled with my weight since my teens, and before WW, I tried plenty of quick-fix solutions. But it wasn’t until I fell pregnant with my daughter, Fleur, that I made the decision to take my health seriously. I was already a member at the time, and while I didn’t follow the programme during my pregnancy, I started taking steps towards a healthier lifestyle.

Joining the gym!

I hated exercise and knew my relationship with fitness would have to change. I bought a Fitbit and aimed to walk 8000 steps each day while pregnant. Then, after Fleur was born, I made a habit of taking her for long walks in her buggy. Eventually, I took the plunge and joined a gym! Since then, my body confidence has soared – being fit and healthy has helped me lose inches off my waist, and I can actually do up my jeans now!

Changing my eating habits

I changed up my eating habits, too. Before I became a mum, food was all about convenience, but now I cook from scratch more often, using WW recipes that I can adapt for Fleur too. I try to make family meals an enjoyable experience and feel quite proud of how good my cooking has become. Spaghetti Bolognese is my go-to recipe, and because I love veg now, I pack lots of courgettes, spinach and mushrooms into the meal.

Healthy lifestyle changes

As I’ve made healthy changes to my lifestyle, I used social media to share my progress. There are so many members in the same situation as me, all wanting to lose weight and improve their lives, so it’s nice to know that we’re supporting one another in reaching our goals.
