I wasn’t keen on sports as a kid,

especially running. Despite being overweight and inactive, I loved watching the London Marathon on TV, and even dreamed of being part of it one day. But I knew there was no way I’d ever be able to run that far unless I did something about my weight.

At nearly 16st,

I decided I was done with being unhealthy. I joined WW and learned about healthy portion control through my WW Coach, Clare, and tracked all my meals using the app. I loved that I didn’t have to give up my favourite foods – I just needed to eat less of them!

After reaching my goal weight,

I felt confident enough to join a gym. Even after losing the weight, it was hard work at first, but I soon started to look forward to workouts. My next step was taking on a 5k, then a 10k, then a half marathon. Regular training helped me tone up, and I even lost a bit more weight.

I was thrilled when I found out

I’d earned a place in the London Marathon. WW has helped me feel happier with how I look, healthier and more confident. And, instead of being a chore, running is now part of who I am. The Marathon was a big challenge, but it was once just a dream, so completing it is definitely cause for celebration.
