Packed with seeds and with the added sweetness and citrus flavours, this granola is perfect served with yoghurt or jarred and given as a Christmas gift.


Dry rolled oats

4 cup(s), (360g)


2 tbs

Sunflower seeds

2 tbs

Flaked almonds

2 tbs, or slivered

Chia seeds

1 tbs, white variety

Egg white

1 medium

Maple syrup

2 tbs

Ground cinnamon

2 tsp

Orange rind

1 tbs, finely grated


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
  2. Combine oats, pepitas, sunflower seeds, almonds and chia seeds in a large bowl. Whisk the egg white, maple syrup and cinnamon in a small bowl. Add egg white mixture to coat oats mixture and toss to combine. Scatter over lined trays.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, swapping trays and stirring halfway through cooking. Remove from oven and sprinkle evenly with orange rind. Bake for a further 2 minutes or until granola is lightly golden. Set aside on trays to cool completely. Spoon into sterile glass jars and tie with ribbon.


SERVING SUGGESTION: 99% fat-free plain Greek yoghurt (contains dairy) and fruits such as raspberries, strawberries and blueberries.
