Rebalance

Have you done too much of something during the week? Drunk too much wine, had too many late nights, overdone it with the cardio? Do the opposite on Saturday and Sunday.

Make Friday count

Even if you’ve only got the evening to spare, doing something on Friday that makes you feel good about yourself will kick-start a positive mental attitude in time for the weekend. It could be as simple as making a delicious low Points® meal, reading your favourite magazine, phoning a friend or heading to a yoga class.

Keep your to-do list short

Don’t pile up your errands for the weekend. If there’s something important you need to do, get it done first thing Saturday – then it won’t be hanging over you the whole time.

Listen to your body

Your mind might be saying ‘I need comfort food after my stressful week’, but your body is probably in need of healthy food and fresh air.

Don’t be afraid to take a break

If you exercise Monday to Friday, remember that it’s okay to reward yourself with a 48-hour break. In fact, it’s often a good idea to have at least one rest day to allow your body to properly recover, especially if you’ve been doing intense exercise.
