Fashion must-haves for the Autumn season

Published 14 September, 2017

Emily Johnston of Fashion Foie Gras has shared with us her must-haves for the upcoming Autumn season, including colourful knits and nautical stripes.

1. Johnstons of Elgin Camel Cashmere Sweater
If you invest in only one piece this season, make it a top of the line camel coloured cashmere sweater- it's a piece that can be worn a thousand and one ways and make you look like a million pounds in an instant!

2. Felt Hat from TK Maxx
Autumn is one of my favourite months because it's a chance to show off the hat collection, which is possibly the most chic way to finish any ensemble!

3. Marks & Spencer Trench Coat
Never underestimate the power of the trench coat - can be worn as a dress with high boots, jeans and a tee for a casual look or wide leg black pants and a button down for an office occasion.

4. Polo Ralph Lauren Lennox Bag
Every season needs a bag, and this season it's all about the Lennox, which gives us a midsized swoon-worthy shape and composition perfect for everyday wear and any sort of weather, plus this leather will age like a well worn in sofa!

5. JD Williams Boots
Stock up on the boots now and grab them in every colour as boots, both heeled and flat, are a daily must for autumn and winter.

6. Sperry Topsider Canvas Shoes
I always have a pair of slip on casual shoes, whether Sperry's or Converse, to slip into on a casual day in the cooler months.

7. ASOS Earrings
Any outfit is made better with some statement earrings and my motto is always, "the bigger, the better."

8. Marks & Spencer Rollneck Sweater
Autumn months were made for cozy pieces, but such pieces needn't be sloppy and without style! Grab a knit with some serious colour to brighten up even the greyest of days!

9. Saint James Breton Top
Let the stripy top act as your layer from heaven - to be worn under a coat, under a dress, under a cardi or simply on its own with a thick wool skirt and tights.

10. Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere Stole
Never ever leave home without a cashmere stole of your choice. There are a thousand and one uses for this fashion accessory, beyond just keeping your warm
