Explore a world of taste this summer with WW new cookbook Flavours
June 2018: Global wellness company, WW, has launched another addition to its cookbook range. Packed with delicious recipes from around the world, Flavours will help you keep things fresh and exciting at the dinner table.
From spicy Indian curries and Tex-Mex chilli to fragrant dishes from the Middle-East and zingy Asian stir-fries, these recipes have been based around Weight Watchers ZeroPoint™ foods and a range of flavour boosting ingredients, such as fresh herbs, spices and marinades, to help you transform the simplest of dishes into something truly special. By using a range of herbs and spices, your dish will burst with flavour without you reaching for the butter or oil.
WW SmartPoints are included with every recipe to make it easier to enjoy cooking and eating healthy, tasty food this summer.
WW tips on how to boost flavour while cooking:
Toast your spices Spices, seeds and nuts all benefit from a light toasting before you use them. Use a dry frying pan over a medium heat, shaking the pan continuously so they don’t burn. Tip them onto a plate as soon as they start to release their aroma.
Spice rubs Dry spice rubs are a great way to add flavour without the extra oil that is in many marinades. Buy them ready-made or make your own by blending your favourite spiced and dried herbs. Rub the mix all over the meat and set aside so the flavours can develop, before grilling, pan-frying or roasting.
Add some zing The acidic zing from a squeeze of lemon juice will enhance the flavour of almost any finished dish. Add it at the end, after cooking but don’t overdo it. You want just a hint of sharpness, which gives the food a fresh, clean taste.
Priced at £7.95, Flavours is available exclusively in WW Workshops across the UK and online at www.weightwatchersshop.co.uk from 24th June 2018.
