If you love tucking into a burger at the end of the working week and want new inspiration, these meltingly good oven-baked sliders could be just what you’re looking for.

Ingredients
Turkey breast mince
400 g
Red onion
1 medium, coarsely grated
Garlic
2 clove(s), crushed
Dried oregano
1 tsp
Fresh basil
1 tbs, finely chopped, plus extra leaves to serve
Tomato passata
400 g
Dried herbs
1 tsp, mixed
White bread roll
8 small, (8 x 30g dinner rolls)
Mozzarella
80 g, (8 x 10g slices)
Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 200°C. Place mince, onion, garlic, oregano and chopped basil in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix until well combined. Shape mixture into 8 even-sized meatballs. Combine passata and mixed herbs in a large saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Gently stir in the meatballs and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
2
Place roll bases in a small baking dish. Using a large spoon, lift meatballs from sauce and place over roll bases. Spoon over the remaining sauce from pan and top with mozzarella slices. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
3
Remove foil and place roll tops over the meatballs. Bake, uncovered, for about 5 minutes, or until the tops are crisp and golden brown. Serve 2 sliders per person, with extra basil leaves.
