Rarebit pork steaks
Pork steaks topped with sour cream, mustard and melted cheese.
8 individual, (40g each)
Light sour cream
Whole grain mustard
Pork fillet or tenderloin, raw
450 g, (buy 500g), fat trimmed
Extra light cheddar cheese
50 g, grated
Vegetable mix, non-starchy, frozen
- Preheat grill on high. Line a baking tray with foil.
- Boil, steam or microwave potatoes until just tender. Drain. Cut potatoes in half. Cover to keep warm.
- Meanwhile, combine cream and mustard in a small bowl. Place pork on prepared tray and grill for 3 minutes (see tip). Turn pork and grill for 2 minutes. Spread mustard mixture evenly over pork and sprinkle with cheese. Grill for 1 minute or until golden.
- Prepare vegetables following packets instructions. Serve pork with potatoes and vegetables
TIP: Place grill rack about 8cm away from heat for even cooking. You can use any frozen vegetable mix, such as broccoli and cauliflower, or carrot and green beans.
